A play of scale and perspective. A small enclosure defines the place of burial; beside it lays the place of worship. A monolithic seat allows you to draw near the defunct, through an intimate and private journey. The irregular shape of the iron trapezoid marks the arbitrarily chosen place and tightens a portion of the cemetery, raising it from the ground level. An iron blade cuts the earth, the etching leaves it unaltered.
